Tonya Hertel is Anishinaabe and a member of the Turtle Mountain Band of Chippewa in North Dakota. Tonya grew up on Standing Rock and considers Standing Rock her home. She currently works on Standing Rock with Indigenous youth with disabilities living both on and off of the reservation. She graduated with a Bachelor’s in Management
Pearl is a member of the Standing Rock Sioux Tribe and is also affiliated with White Earth. She is Eagle Clan. Pearl grew up in the Bemidji area where she graduated from high school and went to college. Pearl ran on the Women’s Track & Field and Cross Country teams throughout college at Bemidji State
